The ISO Standards are accepted as best practice in almost every business sector but they can still be perceived as being time consuming to implement and manage. In order to help businesses introduce ISO 9001 and/or 14001 Electronics Yorkshire has invited two internet-focused suppliers to offer discounted services to member companies; each service having it's unique approach.
ISOEazy.com
ISOEazy.com is a customised electronic and hot-linked (hyper-linked) system to which you can add your personalised forms and work instructions. It offers a variety of quality management systems to suit your company’s needs allowing you to purchase a complete management system customised to your own requirements and which is compliant with the revised ISO9001 standard. The system operates in Microsoft Word, requires no advanced computer skills and will allow you to easily add your own forms and procedures. ISOEazy.com is a web-based service working out of Chapel Allerton, Leeds
Prices range from around £1750 to £2450 for the 9001 package, however ISOEazy.com is offering full members of Electronics Yorkshire a 20 percent discount off advertised costs, and if you take up the internal audit training you should really feel you are getting a good deal. Purchasing the 9001 package and upgrading later to ISO 14001 as an integrated system should also prove to be cost effective; the 14001 Environmental Standard will be available shortly through the ISOEazy system.

‘ISO in a Box’
Equas SmartPro’s ‘ISO in a Box’ is a fully supported system that takes the activities carried out within your organisation and puts them into a simple clear format that ensures compliance with ISO9001:2008, ISO14001:2004 and/or OHSAS18001:2007
Prices start at £2,250 and include full, on and off-site consultancy support throughout the process of building your unique Quality Management System. Also included is your first internal audit prior to your UKAS certification audit, thereby guaranteeing a successful certification audit. Equas SmartPro have franchise offices around the country, with their head office at Pocklington.
The ‘ISO in a Box’ system runs on your computer network in a choice of ways: The original ‘ISO in a Box’ system runs on Microsoft Office and is held locally on your own server, with links to every desktop; alternatively ‘ISO Activ’ is the web-hosted, self managing, electronic version for multi-user and remote access. It is also an infinitely expandable Document Storage System.
Both methods are fully hyper-linked, allowing easy access to documents and processes by simply clicking on the links. The system is fully populated with templates to ensure compliance at every stage but the job of your Equas SmartPro consultant is to replace the templates with your own documents or to tailor them to fit your own methods.
