How Electronics Yorkshire helped Zetechtics Ltd

Zetechtics, formed in 1992 and based in Malton, North Yorkshire provides innovative solutions for use in harsh environments all around the world. Created specifically to bring modern control system technologies to the sub-sea market, the company works primarily with the offshore oil and gas industry, although it delivers in other market sectors too. The company’s expertise covers most aspects of sub-sea operations, industrial electronics and hydraulic systems, as well as remotely-operated vehicles and the design and manufacture of specialised tooling. Within such a global market it is essential that a company like Zetechtics can demonstrate that it works to internationally-recognised quality standards and to this end the company turned to Electronics Yorkshire to ensure its staff received IPC training.

Zetechtics Ltd has benefited greatly from IPC training delivered by tutors at Electronics Yorkshire. As a result, Zetechtics has been able to apply the standards of IPC quality and acceptance criteria in its manufacturing processes.

With IPC certificated staff requiring recertification every two years, Electronics Yorkshire has also fulfilled a number of reassessment courses for Zetechtics staff to ensure they remain familiar with current industry practices. The primary and recertification courses form part of a continual programme of IPC quality standard training for Zetechtics staff throughout the production processes.

Tim Overfield, managing director explained: ‘Having our staff trained to IPC standards is an essential and integral part of our ongoing training programme. Electronics Yorkshire continues to deliver high quality training which has been key for us in maintaining the highest standards in our manufacturing processes and procedures.’
