Intellico Seminar at EYL
Wednesday 25th June 2014
Embedded Product Traceability for Electronics Systems
While radio frequency identification (RFID) tags and readers have been available for many years, RFID systems integrators have focussed on logistics and asset tracking, with little emphasis on production. Manufacturers are becoming increasingly attracted by the potential of RFID enabled visibility and traceability of products and materials in factories, offering the prospect of multiple step change improvements in such areas as plant usage efficiency, accuracy of build, inventory handling, improvement of yield and process control.
Intellico consists of a Technology Strategy Board supported consortium of end-user manufacturers, suppliers, and research and technology organisations, developing and proving the hardware and software components required to deliver the benefits of RFID to UK electronics manufacturing businesses. This seminar will present some of the achievements of the consortium to date, offering attendees a vision of the possible.
