Network membership tops the 600 mark

Date Posted: 08 Oct 2009

Energy Saving International Ltd, the company behind the award-winning energy saving product, SavaSocket, has become the six-hundredth member of EY.

James Dunn, Director of Savasocket business Energy Saving International LtdEY’s Network membership continues to grow, reflecting the dedicated support it offers electronics companies. This includes industry-specific training courses, access to a wide range of advanced technical equipment, networking opportunities with other electronics companies and a range of discounted support services. Full members are continually able to take advantage of attractive discounts when they use the unique array of equipment in the technology centre, let alone receive comprehensive reductions off the costs of the 20 or so training courses EY has to offer.

EY recently expanded its operation to enable electronics companies throughout the UK to apply to become full members; hitherto, only companies within the Yorkshire and Humber region were able to benefit from full membership.

Andy Lee, operations and network manager at EY, explained: ‘Our six-hundredth member is another significant milestone in the growth of our activities. Members of our Network continue to benefit from a wide range of dedicated support and now that we have been able to extend our services to assist companies outside of the region we hope to build on the benefits we have already delivered by enabling many more electronics companies across the UK to be successful.’

Leeds-based Energy Saving International Ltd produces the Savasocket, a device invented to save electricity in the home by switching appliances off instead of them remaining in standby mode. The SavaSocket is therefore able to help prevent accidents and, typically, help domestic users cut their energy consumption.

Energy Saving International Ltd’s managing director James Dunne said: ‘EY will be able to provide invaluable support to Energy Saving International Ltd and we are looking forward to realising the comprehensive benefits that being a member of their Network will bring. We anticipate accessing the wide range of support EY is able to provide to develop our business further.’

EY is the organisation which supports and promotes growth of the electronics industry.
